Exam Review

Your final exam will include 150 questions from the following list.  You are to use the time allowed to look up the following information on and create a sheet to study.  Use the Extra sheets to help you prepare.  Dont forget www.enature.com, your book, or the Field guides.

 

 

Part One:  There will be 20 questions on the scientific names of various Trees, Mammals, Birds, and Reptiles.  Below is a list of the select species that you should study.

 Black bear, White-tailed deer, Eastern wild Turkey, American Bald Eagle, Northern Cardinal, Eastern Cotton-tail rabbit, Mourning Dove, Bobcat, Manatee, Timber rattle snake, American Bullfrog, Blue Jay, Spotted Salamander, Timber Wolf, Large Mouth Bass, White Oak, Virginia Pine, Dogwood, Honey suckle, Sassafras

Part Two:  There will be 40 questions on the Identification of various Trees, Mammals, Birds, and Reptiles.  You will need to know these by picture or full written description of these animals. If the below animal is also one that you need to know the scientific name too, that may also be in the question.  Below is a list of the select species that you should study.

 Black bear, White-tailed deer, Eastern wild Turkey, American Bald Eagle, Northern Cardinal, Eastern Cotton-tail rabbit, Mourning Dove, Bobcat, Manatee, Timber rattle snake, American Bullfrog, Blue Jay, Spotted Salamander, Timber Wolf, Large Mouth Bass, Loblolly Pine, Poison Oak, Hickory, Flowering Dogwood, Willow Oak, Red Oak, White Pine, Black Berry, American Holly, Tulip Poplar, Elk, Ram, Beaver, American Goldfinch, Northern Bobwhite Quail, Indigo Bunting, Pileated Woodpecker, Moose, Flying Squirrel, Buffalo, Cougar, Raccoon, Opossum, Mallard, Goose

Part Three:  There will be 67 questions from notes, handouts, or Labs on the on information given on various Trees, Mammals, Birds, Ropes, Orienteering, Endangered Species, Forestry and Reptiles.  Below is a list of the select species that you should study.

            Trees: 6

            Mammals: 11

            Birds: 11

            Orienteering: 11

            Endangered Species: 6

            Forestry: 11

Part Four:  There will be 15 questions on formulas given in class on Trap-retrap, Sample area, Compass/chain
