Standards For Ecology
The state does not give any specific standards for this class. However,
there are some standards that are required for you to know. Below is a complete
list of items in which you are responsible for.
1. Students will be able to investigate and understand
the web of life.
Key words: food chain, consumer,
producer, photosynthesis, predator, prey, omnivore, carnivore, herbivore, detrivore, scavenger, and ecological pyramid.
2. Students will be able to investigate and understand
the concepts of laws and regulations pertaining to the following:
Soil conservation, endangered species, game species, natural parks, national
forest, Wildlife refuge, Sanctuary, Various Laws and Regulations.
3. Students will be able to investigate and understand
population growth and declines

stable, population, overpopulation, morality, birthrate, migration, and death rate.
4. Students will be able to identify by sight, characteristics,
and status, different species of life including, but not limited to, the following list of local species
